Confirmation
As with Holy Baptism, Confirmation is a sacramental rite. Confirmation renews the covenant made at a person's baptism to follow Jesus Christ and the way of love.
At a confirmation service, baptized candidates make a mature public affirmation of their faith and recommit themselves to their baptism vows. For candidates who were previously confirmed in another communion, reception is administered through the laying on of hands by the bishop during the rite.
If you are a member of St. Mary of the Harbor and interested in confirmation or would like to be received into the Episcopal Church by the bishop, or is you simply wish to reaffirm your baptismal covenant at a confirmation service, please contact the priest.
